HÀ NỘI — Việt Nam’s leading badminton players Nguyễn Tiến Minh and Vũ Thị Trang crashed out in the second round of the Xiamenair Australian Badminton Open in Sydney yesterday.
Minh lost to Jin Jeon Hyeok of South Korea 一 九- 二 一, 一 四- 二 一 after 四 二 minutes in the men’s singles. While Trang was defeated by Li Xuerui of China 一 一- 二 一, 一 一- 二 一 in the women’s singles.
Earlier, the HCM City-born player Minh defeated Takuma Ueda from Japan and the northern province of Bắc Giang-born Trang beat Xiaoyu Liang of Singapore in the first round.
